“INNOCENTI, MONUMENTI DELLA MEMORIA” BY PAOLO CANEVARI
Internationally renowned artist Paolo Canevari presents with Cardi Gallery Innocenti, Monumenti della Memoria 2022, a site-specific installation at the abandoned Tobacco Manufacture in Ostuni. Innocenti defies the notion of sculpture as something permanent and long-lasting. The installation is created with Tubi Innocenti, an industrial material that Canevari dignifies and explores the material’s aesthetic properties. In a constant dialogue between the immortality of memory and the perishable nature of matter, the viewer’s gaze is invited to access the interior of the artwork.
